THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY REIGNS

Our entire world is in the grip of fear and uncertainty.  We say that this is a result of the corona virus, and that's partly true.  We don't know who is going to get sick.  We don't know who will need hospitalization.  We don't know who will survive.  We don't know when we can go back to work.  We don't know . . . a whole lot of things.  And that makes us feel. . . insecure and afraid.

So we want to remind all of you, and remind ourselves as well, of a few important truths that we DO know for certain:

• We know that we can. . . "cast our cares on I AM and He will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall" (Ps 55.22 NIV)
• We know the words of Jesus "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart!  I have overcome the world." (John 16.33 NIV)
• We know ". . . whom I have believed and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day."(2 Tm 1.12  NIV)
• We know that "neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.''' (Ro 8.38-39 NIV)
